Marcia Smith serves on the senior leadership team as the Chief Operating Officer and has worked with PASE since its inception in 1993. She oversees all the operational areas of PASE including fiscal and risk management, organizational development, Board of Directors development and relations, strategic planning, event planning and fundraising. Prior to joining PASE, Ms. Smith worked as a consultant with the Arthur Ashe Institute of Urban Health, the Office of the Borough President of Manhattan and Project Reach Youth. Ms. Smith is a licensed attorney at law and practiced criminal law in both trial and appellate areas for 15 years. She serves as on the non-profit boards of Cora Dance Company, the First Presbyterian Church of Brooklyn, AllinBrooklyn, and Coat of Many Colors, Inc. She holds a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois and a J.D. from the John Marshall School of Law in Chicago.
